CalRecycle 2010 Prevention Awards program announced; Applications due on Tuesday, June 15

Department of resources, recycling and recovery (CalRecycle) is currently accepting applications for the 2010 waste reduction Awards Program (WRAP) 15 June 2010. California companies and private schools with a general interest organizations that have agreed to increase recycling, waste reduction, green procurement and environmentally friendly programs are encouraged to apply.

"With less waste is good for the mind to the environment and a good sense for the line," said CalRecycle VT Director Margo Reid Brown. "WRAP to the implementation of recognition of the whole, California practices, to help protect the environment and to preserve our natural resources."

Each is assessed individually, based on reported on waste prevention, recycling and composting, supplies and training activities, the winners will be announced this fall. All winners will receive authorization to WRAP logo for promotional purposes of products, in advertising, and business Web sites on the market in their efforts to make a significant contribution to the environment.
